Water is an indispensable material for human survival, and rivers are an important birthplace of human civilization. China and Brazil are both countries with vast land areas, with world-renowned rivers such as the Yangtze River, Yellow River, and Amazon River within their borders. These rivers not only flow through a large area, but also have a significant impact on the economy, society, environment, and other aspects of the area they flow through. Therefore, countries around the world, including China and Brazil, have made the management of river basins (rivers) an important legal and policy issue. In such a situation, it is necessary and meaningful to discuss the issue of watershed (river) legislation between China and Pakistan. Therefore, the Law School of Liaoning University and the Law Science Center of the Federated University of Paraiba in Brazil will hold the "International Seminar on Law and Water Resources" on August 26, 2023, with more than 20 experts and scholars from China, Brazil, and Mexico participating in the seminar. This seminar aims to provide a platform for communication and dialogue among scholars in the field of environmental law, and invite experts and scholars from relevant disciplines to fully discuss the legal construction issues of water resources and basin governance in China and Brazil.
